What is wordpress?

You have seen so many website and blog. You want to create a website or blog but you don’t know web programming such as HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript etc. Don’t worry you can create a web site without any web programming language using wordpress.

Wordpress is a CMS. CMS means content management system. It is free web software to create and update website or blog. Anyone can use it to create his website or blog. If you want to create a blog I think wordpress is best for you. You can use joomla but wordpress is very easy then joomla. It is very effective for seo. You can post here, create page (like About, Contract us etc), upload media (like image, audio, video) very easily.

You can use wordpress in two ways.

1:  you can buy domain name and hosting or using free domain and hosting and setup wordpress on you host account then you can use wordpress. I will discus about how to register domain and hosting in our next lesion.

2: You can create a blog in www.wordprss.com . You can create your blog Free here. Then you can use wordpress.
